Welcome to the Atelier Emé (Calzedonia Group) website.

Below you will find some information about how we process the personal data of visitors who browse our site, provided pursuant to and for the purposes of article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679. Please note that this privacy policy is only provided for the website connected with the domains and sub-domains registered for the Atelier Emé brand, not for other websites that may be consulted by the user through links.
To find out more about privacy and the processing of your personal data, select your area of interest, depending on whether you are simply a visitor or a user of web services subject to registration. We may also collect your personal data through the services offered within our stores. To find out how the processing takes place in the context of these services, please refer to the relevant privacy policy you will find in our stores.

  • WHO IS THE DATA CONTROLLER OF THE PERSONAL DATA OF WEBSITE USERS? HOW CAN I CONTACT THE CONTROLLER?

    The data you supply will be processed for multiple purposes, as stated in this privacy policy.
    For the "Newsletter", "Direct Marketing" and "Profiling" purposes, the Data Controllers of personal data are the companies of the Calzedonia Group responsible for these activities for each of the Group's brands. As of the date of publication of this privacy policy, these are:

    • Calzedonia S.p.A (hereinafter also referred to simply as “Calzedonia”), with registered office at Via Portici Umberto Primo 5/3 Malcesine (Verona, Italy) and administrative office at Via Monte Baldo 20 Dossobuono di Villafranca (Verona, Italy);

    • Atelier Emé S.r.l. (hereinafter also referred to simply as “Atelier Emé”), with registered office at Via Portici Umberto Primo 5/3 Malcesine (Verona, Italy);

    • Falconeri S.r.l. (hereinafter also referred to simply as “Falconeri with registered office at Via del Lavoro 18 (Avio, Trento, Italy).


    Calzedonia S.p.A., Atelier Emé S.r.l. and Falconeri S.r.l. are companies belonging to the Calzedonia Group, which, in addition to Atelier Emé and Falconeri, also includes the Calzedonia, Intimissimi, Tezenis and Signorvino brands.

    Calzedonia, Atelier Emé and Falconeri are therefore, joint controllers of the processing of your personal data, as they jointly determine the purposes and means of the processing. The joint controllers have entered into a joint controllership agreement pursuant to Article 26 of the GDPR, the essential content of which is available to you at the offices of the joint controllers.

  • WHAT METHODS ARE USED TO PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

    The data you supply to us will be processed by employees expressly appointed by us, according to the respective authorisation profiles assigned to them. The appointed persons will be able to view, use, process and compare the data and carry out other appropriate operations, including automated operations, only if they they have been expressly authorised to do so. The data will be processed using computerised, electronic communication and paper-based tools and media in compliance with legal provisions intended to guarantee security and confidentiality and ensure that the data is accurate, up-to-date and relevant to the stated purposes. You yourself can help us ensure that your data is always accurate by communicating updates to privacy@calzedonia.com.

    Browsing the site

    We may collect and process users' personal data when they access and visit our site by browsing its pages, even without registering and completing or entering data in online forms. We also use cookies in some areas of the website. Cookies allow our website, for example, to check whether our users have visited the website before, or to determine which are the most frequently visited pages of the website. We also use a push notification system on our website to keep you constantly updated about our commercial news and promotions. For this personal data processing, please see the Cookie Policy , which must be viewed in conjunction with the information we have provided in this privacy policy. On our website you will also find social buttons/widgets, i.e. "buttons" showing the icons of social media sites (e.g. Facebook and Twitter) and interactive social walls (e.g. walls presenting photos from Instagram using hashtags) that present content from social media sites. By clicking on these "buttons", users browsing our website can reach and interact directly with social media sites, which collect data relating to their visit. Apart from these cases, in which you voluntarily click to share your browsing data with your chosen social media sites, we do not share any browsing information or user data gained from our website with social media sites.

    In any case, when users browse the website, they accept the terms and conditions of use of the site, as well as the terms of this Privacy Policy.     Use of web services

    We may also collect and process personal data of users who use the web services made available on the website and provided subject to personal data being entered online or by email.

    Unprompted emails

    When you send an unprompted email to one of the email addresses shown on our website, we acquire the sender's address and any other personal data you have entered in the message and in the attachments in order for us to fulfil your request. The mailboxes corresponding to the addresses shown on our site are not personal. They belong to the company and their primary purpose is to allow the efficient performance of our activities. This means that messages sent to our mailboxes may be known to all the people authorised to access these mailboxes.   • WHICH DATA CATEGORIES ARE PROCESSED?

    To access services and content provided through our website, you may be asked for personal data such as name, surname, residence or home address, email, date of birth, etc. The provision of such data is optional, but necessary in order to use the requested services. Specific information can therefore be found on how personal data is processed on the websites dedicated to these services.
    The web forms available on the website never ask you for any sensitive data (e.g. disclosure of racial and ethnic origin, religious, philosophical, political beliefs, health status, sexuality, etc.) or legal data (criminal record or status as a defendant or suspect, etc.).

  • FOR WHAT PURPOSES IS PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED AND WHAT IS THE LEGAL BASIS FOR DOING SO?

    Website browsing While you visit our website, the IT systems responsible for its operation collect some data (e.g. IP addresses, domain names, URIs) that need to be sent to enable the Internet to function. We use this data for the sole purpose of allowing users to browse the website and obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and check that it is operating correctly, or ascertain responsibility in the event of cybercrime.     Subscribing to the newsletter on our website may result in us sending communications that are not generic but targeted based on the recipient's language, gender and country of origin. This means that we process the data we receive in order to divide subscribers into distinct groups by language, gender and country of origin, so that the newsletter sent is as close as possible to what you have requested and what may interest you.
    Your consent. We shall only use the data requested in the registration form with your authorisation. The data you supply to us when you subscribe to the Newsletter, will be kept until we receive a request from you to unsubscribe, in which case we shall delete your data from our databases within 72 hours of the request to unsubscribe.
    Customer Care We provide a support service (via chat, phone, email) to assist with any requirement regarding the use of our products or services. In some cases, we may ask you for your personal data when this is necessary to respond to requests you make via our Customer Care service. The need to fulfil the contract for the sale of products, or the provision of the requested service, or pre-contractual measures adopted on the basis of your request. Your personal data will be processed for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes of the processing.
    Customer satisfaction questionnaires We may send you questionnaires intended to gauge your satisfaction with our services and products. Your consent to marketing. We shall use the data you supply, subject to your prior consent, to send you questionnaires about your level of satisfaction with our products and/or services.     Direct marketing Sending of commercial communications by post, email, text message, landline/mobile phone; performance of market research and activities to gauge your level of satisfaction with products relating to all the Calzedonia Group brands (Calzedonia, Atelier Emé, Falconeri, Intimissimi, Tezenis and Signorvino). Your consent to receive these communications will cover any communications sent using automated systems, without the involvement of an operator (e.g. email, text message) and traditional contact methods (e.g. post). You are always free to revoke your consent to data being processed for this purpose by emailing privacy@calzedonia.com.

    Legitimate interest. Pursuant to article 130, article 4, Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended, relating to so-called “soft spam”, we may, without first gaining your express consent, use the email address you provided when requesting a service, for the purpose of promoting services/products similar to those requested, provided that you do not object to this use by emailing privacy@calzedonia.com or clicking on the special link provided in the promotional emails we send for objecting to receive communications you consider to be unwanted.

    Profiling We shall use the data you supply in order to use individual services for so-called "profiling", i.e. to analyse the social make-up of consumers based on age, gender, country of origin, occupation, consumer habits, etc. Profiling requires the data you supply us with to be processed in order to create consumer groups divided by market segments, based on a minimum set of elements (e.g. gender, country of origin), or more advanced profiles based on preferences and online behaviour. This activity has a dual purpose: to allow us to develop products and services that reflect the preferences of our consumers and to allow us to send you advertising communications that match your tastes and interests as closely as possible.
    In order to gain the best possible insight into your tastes and interests in our products and our communications, we may also use automated systems that do not have any legal or other significant effects on our customers.
    Your consent. We shall only carry out profiling activity with your prior authorisation. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing privacy@calzedonia.com The information collected and interactions with us, will be processed for no more than 12 months from the date of collection.
    The other data of a general nature relating to your profile (e.g. gender, country, origin) will be processed until a request to withdraw consent is received from you.

For each event we shall provide you with a specific privacy policy that will describe the types of data processed, the time for which these will be stored and the specific purposes of the processing. We shall only collect your data with your prior consent.     Statistical analysis We create statistical reports and behavioral models in order to examine - in aggregate form - the economic effectiveness of our commercial initiatives (e.g. interest in a new product) and to direct our future commercial and promotional initiatives. Our legitimate interest in analysing customer data - using pseudonyms (therefore without any information directly attributable to individual customers) - to obtain strategic information relating to: customer behaviour, the ways in which customers interact with us through the different communication channels and the effectiveness of commercial and promotional initiatives, in order to compete with the main operators in the sector. The data will be retained - using pseudonyms - for a period of five years.

    We want you to know that when we base the processing of your personal data on our legitimate interest, we perform a test to determine the balance between this interest and your rights, as required by law. You can contact the Data Controller at any time to request further information.

  • DO WE COMMUNICATE OR DISSEMINATE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

    We only communicate your personal data to third parties when this is necessary and functional to the achievement of the data processing purpose pursued, according to the service you requested. In any case we only communicate the data after having informed you, and where necessary, having obtained your consent to do so.

    In general, data acquired during browsing may become known to third-party companies that provide IT support and data processing services (e.g. where hosting activities are entrusted to third parties and are connected to the use of our website) appointed as Data Processing Managers for this purpose.

    Data collected via the individual services and for the purposes stated in this privacy policy are normally communicated to the following:

    • organisations who are granted the right to access them by legal or regulatory provisions (e.g. public security authorities or police forces);

    • companies in the Calzedonia Group in their capacity as parent companies, subsidiaries, associated or affiliated companies;<

    • Atelier Emé points of sale;

    • companies providing data processing or IT services (e.g. web hosting, data entry, IT infrastructure and service management and maintenance, email marketing, Acquirers, etc.);

    • companies and firms providing consultancy services;

    We do not usually disseminate your data. Some services provided by our site however, allow the dissemination of your personal data to other internet users and services. This is however, left to your discretion and is only possible on your specific and voluntary initiative. In some specific cases however, we may ask you to release your personal data (including photographic and audio-video images) to allow you to participate in extraordinary and temporary events, competitions and themed initiatives, which by their intrinsic nature require communication and dissemination. In these cases we will notify you and ask you to give your explicit and specific consent in this respect.

  • DO WE TRANSFER YOUR PERSONAL DATA TO NON-EU COUNTRIES?

    The personal data collected through this website may be transferred outside the EU (in particular, to the United States) to be stored on servers of Customer Relationship Management service providers. The transfer is carried out after Standard Contractual Clauses have been stipulated or the existence of a Privacy Shield certification for the service provider (specifically appointed as a Data Processing Manager) has been verified.   • WHAT RIGHTS CAN I EXERCISE AS THE DATA SUBJECT?

    You can exercise the rights granted to you by law in respect of your personal data by emailing privacy@calzedonia.com. We shall answer your request as soon as possible and in any case within 30 days of receipt of your report. In some cases we may ask for a copy of an identity document if a request you make requires us to verify your identity.

      You have the right to know whether personal data concerning you is currently being processed and, if this is confirmed, to obtain a copy of such data and be informed of: the origin of the data; the categories of personal data processed; the recipients of the data; the purposes of the processing; the existence of an automated decision-making process, including profiling; the data retention period; the rights provided by the Regulations.

      You have the right to obtain the rectification of data in our possession that relate to you and to supplement data that may be incomplete.       2. we are not authorised to process your data and instead of erasing it, you can ask us to restrict its use;
      3. if the data we have in our possession - even if it is no longer necessary for us, for the purposes for which it was collected - is necessary for you to ascertain, exercise or defend a right in court;
      4. you have objected to processing based on our legitimate interest. While awaiting verification that our legitimate interests override yours as the data subject you can ask us to restrict the processing.

      If we are processing your data with your consent or under a contract, or the processing is carried out by automated means, you can exercise the right to data portability.
